Live Performance / Devil’s Rope: On a Journey of No Return

Some photos from the performance “Devil’s Rope: On a Journey of No Return” last Jan at the Silent Green, as a part of “More Strange Things” exhibition. A sound performance with a barbed wire, also known as the “Devil’s Rope” which calls for a reflection on the interplay between the body, borders, sound, and space. Sculpting a sonic barrier/sound wall that envelopes the audience.

For over a century, barbed wire has been utilized extensively to demarcate territorial boundaries and define spaces, shaping identities. Thanks to its success in deterring human bodies, it has become an emblem of border(ing). „Devil‘s Rope“ employs barbed wire as an element to contemplate the concept of borders and the intricacies of human mobility.
It has been shown in a different forms in and outside of Berlin, new experiments/documentations will be uploaded to my website.
