Update / Bells and Cannons

’Bells and Cannons’’ was at “What If Not Now?” a weekend exhibition with the Society for Nontrivial Pursuits as a part of @ctmfestival @vorspiel.berlin at the marvellous machine hall of MaHalla, Berlin.

Bells had set the rhythm of the people for ages. Church bells were the clock for daily life. For centuries bells had been removed from belfries during times of war and melted down for military purposes into cannons. „Glocken und Kanonen” are sounds from a deep-time ecology hidden and encrypted within bells in Germany and Europe.
