Özcan Ertek
I am a musician/media artist from Istanbul that has professional interest in media and politics.
The development of computer music technology in the last decade has permitted the creation of interactive art, as well as sophisticated interfaces that use different kinds of sensors. These new areas of multidisciplinary studies are of critical interest to me, as my primary mode of artistic practice involves live performance of music and sound arts with computers. As composing, performing, and academic research are all central to my artistic activities, the central concern of my studies to date have been to develop a better understanding of the links between artistic and scientific creativity.
